‘Youth for future’ is an awareness campaign initiated by the IYCS
Team, which focuses on providing all the correct sources of
information and awareness about climate change among the
general people. We have considered many creative ways to enhance
this campaign, like visiting underprivileged areas and organizing
marches and street plays.
The Climate Change Awareness Programme, orchestrated by IYCS, is
aimed at those who reside on the frontlines of the tempestuous
repercussions of our changing planet. The underprivileged children
are embraced by IYCS’s unwavering commitment to understanding
their myriad struggles. Through heartfelt conversations and
empathetic exchanges, the members of IYCS peeled back the layers
of adversity these children faced daily.
For local communities, IYCS introduced sustainable solutions tailored
to their circumstances, such as urban gardening for food security
and rainwater harvesting for water conservation. By addressing these
specific concerns, IYCS aimed to equip youths with knowledge and
tools that could directly improve their lives and help them adapt to
the challenges posed by climate change in their unique
circumstances.
It is a programme that included simple pleasures shared in unity,
which became powerful reminders of the collective strength and
kindness that can illuminate even the darkest corners of our world.
We believe, “Within the tapestry of hardship, we weave threads of
empowerment, allowing the youths to sculpt a future where their
dreams defy the limits of circumstance.”
